The intention of this web site is to offer photographic images, with descriptions and explanations, of terrestrial landscapes, environmental processes and human and economic development.
The site has been designed and created by one person.
The same person took all the photographs and wrote the descriptions and explanations.
Inevitably there will be errors, inaccuracies and omissions. Revisions and updates are ongoing.
The content of the site was never intended to be comprehensive and may appear, at times, to be a little esoteric. It is dependent on the content of the photographic library of the site creator and the places to which they have travelled.
The site will be added to, existing photographs will change, as the creator's photographic library continues to expand. If you use this site it may, therefore, be a good idea to clear your search history/website data to make sure you are using the most up-to-date version of the site.
For a number of reasons, all photographs are uploaded to the site at a low resolution, high resolution copies of all photographs are available by contacting the site creator*.

However, the content of the site may be used by those people in an educational establishment who are directly involved in, and for for the sole purpose of, education, specifically, teaching.
This allows for limited copying of the content, so long as it is only used to illustrate teaching points.
It would be good if the copying was accompanied by sufficient acknowledgement.
The wholsale copying of the site would not be acceptable nor would uses which would undermine sales of teaching materials, should this be a direction in which the creator may wish to go in the future.
